More than one hundred customers, business associates, and well-wishers gathered at the new world headquarters for electronics manufacturer Aimtron Tuesday morning, as company executives and local politicians celebrated the company’s move to Palatine.
Aimtron was founded five years ago by Mukesh Vasani, manufacturing specialized computer hardware for a variety of industries including medical, gaming, green technologies, agriculture, commercial, and the U.S. military.
According to Vasani, the company quickly outgrew its original space in Streamwood.
Their new headquarters on the 500 block of Vermont Street is 44,000 square feet.
Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz said he was proud Aimtron chose to build in Palatine.

“They could go anywhere they want not only in the U.S.A. but in the world,” Schwantz said. “(When) a world-class headquarters for a company such as Aimtron stays here in the village of Palatine, (it) is something tremendously exciting for us.”
State representatives Tom Morrison and Elaine Nekritz also attended the ceremony.
Vasani said he credits their dedication to high-quality products to their success.
“Our strategy is to use only state-of-the-art, high-speed, robotic equipment which will allow us to compete with offshore manufacturers,” Vasani said. “This allows us and our valued customers to continue to say the product is still proudly ‘made in the U.S.A.'”
In addition to the Palatine headquarters, Aimtron also operates a sales office in Phoenix, Arizona, and a plant in Vadodara, India.
